Ice Nine Kills make music both timeless and timely, mixing metal, hardcore, and punk, with accessible power. New anthems like "Rainy Day" and "Hip To Be Scared" demonstrate Spencer’s fascination with fright, pop culture obsession, and his expertise with inescapably wicked melodic hooks and clever twists of phrase. Producer Drew Fulk returned for Welcome To Horrorwood which includes cameos from members of Papa Roach, Cannibal Corpse, Atreyu, Fit For A King, and Senses Fail.
Decadent, devious, and fiercely insane, Ice Nine Kills celebrate pop culture’s darkest edges, mining a cinephile library’s worth of iconic horror on The Silver Scream and its sequel. The creative marriage made in hell of music and fiction began in earnest with the Every Trick In The Book, which brought the previous three records’ themes to new levels.
The band’s synergy of music and lifestyle draws favorable comparisons to Slipknot and Rob Zombie. Visionary trailblazers and multimedia raconteurs, INK built a thrilling world for a growing legion of devoted true believers, with theatrical shows, high-concept videos, and inventive band-to-fan communion.
The Los Angeles-based band - comprised of Cody Carson (vocals), Zach DeWall (guitar) and Maxx Danziger (drums) - have become known for creating their own original brand of pop music, infusing bold electronic elements with rock instrumentations and guitar riffs as catchy as the choruses and an overall feel-good, dance-worthy vibe.
The lead single, “Skeleton” off their latest album Elsewhere epitomizes Set It Off - a group both fully committed to its roots and diving into its future by embracing inevitable change. Since forming in Florida in 2008, the genre-blending group has released four previous albums, amassed a loyal following, relocated to L.A., while their Top 10 Spotify tracks alone have racked up 528 million plays. The band’s full-length debut album Cinematics in 2012 embraced their moodier rock side, and later efforts took on an upbeat pop twist that culminated in a darker synergy of those styles on their last album Midnight. Elsewhere is a transitional, moody, and forward thinking release, one in which they have faced their demons and come out happier and more full of life than ever before.
We can die many times. The process of creativity and life, is one of death and rebirth - constantly happening over and over again. Whether it’s an actual death, or just a shift in perspective, that cycle is forever continuing. Sometimes you must die inside, in order to rise from your own ashes and believe in yourself to become a new person.
We are all dead here.
