Hobo Johnson
Hobo Johnson
Sacramento, CA alternative hip-hop artist Hobo Johnson is Frank Lopes Jr; often backed by his bandmates “The Lovemakers.” In November 2017, Hobo Johnson released the record The Rise of Hobo Johnson, which Frank wrote during a time he had to live out of his '94 Toyota Corolla - hence his self-given pseudonym.

On April 17, 2018, Hobo Johnson released the highly anticipated single "Peach Scone" (both the studio and live version), which debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday. The new single comes on the heels of Hobo Johnson's "Peach Scone" live performance video, which was posted online as a submission for NPR’s Tiny Desk contest. The live video of that unreleased track got Hobo Johnson much more than expected. In just 7 weeks, the "Peach Scone" video racked up over 14.6 million views on Facebook and YouTube. Across all socials, their followers have grown from 10,000 total to well over one million followers. Their fervent new fans boosted the 2017 The Rise of Hobo Johnson album to #8 on the iTunes Hip-Hop chart and #11 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart.

Hobo Johnson has also caught the attention of big media players like MTV who tweeted "Very much in love with @_hobojohnson" and a feature from Perez Hilton and The Needle Drop. Five different songs from The Rise of Hobo Johnson have charted on Spotify's Global Viral 50, US Viral 50, Australia Viral 50, UK Viral 50, Canada Viral 50, Philippines Viral 50, Spain Viral 50, NZ Viral 50, Ireland Viral 50, Netherlands Viral 50. It has also appeared on on Spotify's Tear Drop, Viral Hits Canada, Viral Hits AUS & NZ. This year, fans can look forward to more US and international tour dates from Hobo Johnson & The Lovemakers.
Oliver Tree
Oliver Tree
Los Angeles-based genre-defying singer/songwriter/producer + viral sensation, OliverTree, has made waves with his unique high-energy sound and eccentric persona. Treerecently unveiled his critically acclaimed debut EP Alien Boy,which saw an impressive debut at #5 on iTunes. The EP’s lead singles, “Alien Boy͟x ͞All That” are accompanied by a hilarious companion video where Oliver can be seen cruising around on everything from a Razor scooter to a monster truck. Watch the video here. Last year, Tree joined close friend and collaborator, Whethan, on select dates of The Chainsmokers’͞Memories͟ Tour and also teamed up with Louis The Child on select dates of their 2017 tour, including a sold-out show at Los Angeles’ famed Hollywood Palladium. This tour was just the next on the ever-growing list of live shows for Oliver Tree since making his festival debut this past summer with solo sets at Lollapaloozaand Outside Lands. Always creating new and exciting comedic content, Oliver Tree teamed up with meme sensation Fuck Jerry to create original content for the brand’s hugely popular Instagram page earlier last year. Having made a striking debut with a visionary, Thom Yorke-approved cover of Radiohead’s“Karma Police,” Tree soon shook up the music scene with featured collaborations including Whethan vs. Oliver Tree’s͞When I’m Down͟ and Getter’s ͞Forget It (Feat. Oliver Tree).” Tree lit up last year’s Coachella with his distinctive look – featured in LA Weekly’s ͞The Best (And Weirdest) Fashion At Coachella 2017͟– and memorable live appearance alongside frequent collaborator Whethan. In addition, Tree recently made his network television debut by joining Getterfor a live rendition of ͞Forget It͟ on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly.Huffington Post has applauded his work as “an enigma of genre. While (Tree is) primarily a pianist, guitarist and producer, his real-instruments-based-production incorporates rap, male and female vocal harmonies, poetic lyrics, strings and a hearty dose of synth...as much philosopher as musician, and a big dreamer at that, (Tree’s) goal is to push the art form forward, and beyond the electronic scene, he aims to have his work reach the world and in doing so, better his listeners’ lives,” while NYLON encourages everybody to “get weird to the sweet, sweet sounds of Oliver Tree.”
Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts
Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts
Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts (NYC, Rough Trade Records) play a crazy, original mix of scuzzy urban indie-rock, literate lyrics and comic book punk, like a 21st Century mash-up of Sonic Youth, Pete Seeger and R. Crumb. Jeffrey has done tours in Europe and America and Australia and Asia and elsewhere, a few tours every year since 2001, as well as sometimes playing as the opening act for bands like the Mountain Goats, Daniel Johnston, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, The Fall, Pulp, Roky Erickson, The Vaselines and other luminaries. Jeffrey has released seven critically acclaimed albums on Rough Trade Records, in addition to occasional self-releases and projects on other labels (like K Records and Don Giovanni), and Jeffrey continues to self-publish his art and writing in an ongoing underground comic book series called Fuff. With current Los Bolts bandmates Brent (Moldy Peaches) Cole on drums and Mem (Cat Tatt) Pahl on bass and keys a brand new full-length original album was recorded in 2018 in Nashville with producer Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Lou Reed, Sleater-Kinney), with title and release date tba!
